A recent report from Yahoo indicates that the mobile internet experience should reflect that of a desktop browser for it to be considered useful by users. This reinforces the trend that technology is allowing designers such as ourselves to create mobile sites with impact and functionality.
Moreover, the report showed that most users now use a variety of methods to access online information such as mobile, desktop, TV and even newer devices such as the iPad. When users experienced a poor mobile site, 44% blamed the brand rather than the mobile network. Of course, this implies that organisations wishing to engage with users online must ensure the quality of their mobile presence too.
